Vortex Sparc II

I have a few of these and have used them in classes before. It is not a bad optic at all and hard to kill evidently.

I respectfully TOTALLY disagree. I have had two of them and have had to exchange both because they stopped working. I think the on/off button under the rubber housing is not very sturdy and ultimately something happens to the spring and it stops turning off an on.

For the price I won't get another, and now with the Trijicon MRO there's really no reason to get a SPARC II.

I will say that when the SPARC is working it is a fine optic.

$200 vs $500? Not even in the same ball park. That's similar to aimpoint money.

I guess if you've had two bad experiences with the SPARC the $300 difference is absolutely in the same ball park

I have a SPARC II and have had zero issues.

The gun hasn't been run over, blown up or thrown out of a helicopter, but then again, I certain hope it never is.

My sparc I has been perfectly functional on my ak. Never a problem.

I have at least 5 Sparc I's and I recently thought I had a problem. Every time I tried to turn the sight off it would immediately turn back on. After a quick internet search it turns out they do this when the battery is almost dead. Changed the battery, problem solved.

Yeah I actually have 4 of them and one of them is on a 458 socom. Never had an issue. But if you do have an issue... Vortex will send you a new one, no questions asked.

I agree that their warranty department is amazing. They have fast turn around and it really is no questions.
