Surefire XC1, anyone have one yet?

Typical of surefire, they're dragging their feet yet again on shipping these out. Has anyone actually got or seen one in person? I got confirmation from opticsplanet that mine should ship by Sept 9th....Should being the keyword. There website now has a 5-8 week lead time for new orders, but the person I talked to without basically saying it, guaranteed my order would ship by the 9th. Surefire's Facebook posted a week or so ago that within 30 days they would be shipping to retailers .

Anyone have, seen, or got one coming?

Typical at best. I for one will most likely never buy another sure fire product again. Sole reason being failure to meet their numorous ship dates.

Can someone explain why this is better than the x300?

Smaller Size is the "better". It is designed for ccw,where as the x300 is wider and longer.

Ah ic, it's smaller. What's the beam look like? I feel like the x300 is the perfect marriage of spot and flood for a firearm.

I wonder is this new one is as good.

I'm sure the beam isn't AS good as the x300, but it carries the "surefire" name. Hopefully the compromise for size doesn't affect performance to much.

Surefire used to mean something to me, but abour half the things I've bought with their name left me wanting. I think I'll wait for reviews.
