    EOtech XPS 2-2 for $360?

I found an XPS 2-2 basically brand new for $360 which to me is fairly cheap I think. Should I be worried that its a fake? Is the only way to tell if its a fake or not is by the reticle getting cut off before reaching the edge when moving it down?

I found this on eBay and to which I am getting about $29 eBay bucks, which is why I purchased it. So it was kind of an impulse buy, didn't think much if it can be fake or not until now...

So is it used? If it's new and sold at that price there is a good chance it's a fake. Where's it shipping from btw?

Fake eotechs are easy to spot.

A real eotech has a reticle that is generated via a laser. The result is the reticle looks to made up of several hundred tiny red dots. It looks a little "fuzzy" arround the edges.
See this pic (not mine) for reference.

The fakes use a LED to create the reticle. The LED reticle by comparison is a "perfect" solid image, comparable to what you would see in an advertising graphic that explains the eotech reticle.

I know it sounds counterintuitive in that you would think the genuine article has the "perfect" reticle, but that is how it goes.

Keep us posted how it works out and whether it's legit or not...we need to help identify fake items and sellers so the community is aware (Nice aid to help him there MR PLINK)

I hope it's the real deal and you got a bargain nevertheless

Let me look into my crystal ball and determine whether or not your "Eotech" is fake, without any pictures or additional information about where it came from.

Very possible someone just needed to get rid of it and needed the money, so you probably scored a good deal. But yes, fake ones are plentiful.

I think you got a deal. That price is pretty reasonable, unlike the Calguns classifieds where most people ask MSRP for their used parts.

I'm pretty sure it's legit. It's wasn't sold as new. It was sold "like-new". These could be found new at OP for close to that price net the last time Eotech had a rebate. The eBay guy has good feedback and it's not like a cell-phone case seller all of a sudden listing 20 of these.
