If it's a budget AR, I'd say it's fine, but ya, imagine a FFP optic at minimum magnification. That's what it looks like. If it's for a Tavor, do yourself a favor and save up for something that does that rifle justice, like an EoTech (with a g33 if you need zoom) or an ACOG

I guess I shouldn't be telling you that I shoot cheap steel case ammo through my Tavor??? I'm not going ACOG or EoTech. I'm asking a specific question about if that reticle was that small and I shouldn't buy it. Not whether a this vs this but buy this optic question.

I answered your question. It is like looking through a FFP optic at minimum magnification. If that doesn't give you a good idea of what to expect, you should get your hands on one and take a look. Annoy the people at Turners or something. Or I'm sure there is a youtube video somewhere. Also they have a 4x and 5x prism optic available as well.

I'm was debating on the 5x but I'm not a fan of that reticle. I may have to settle for a 5x or a used 4x cause 4x isn't even listed on their website anymore.

I have their 4x. Same problem. I upgraded to an ACOG when the funds allowed me to do so. If the small image is a problem, PA might not be the way to go, at least with a fixed magnification. Again, your best bet is to actually get your hands on one and try it out. What's your location? If you're near me you can stop by and check out the 4x.

There's so many ACOG from $1000-$3700. Which one is what fits best for my situation? It's overwhelming to think of how many they have and how much it cost.

A part of that question is application, and the other part of that is personal preference.

When I was new to optics I was also overwhelmed with the choices, and ultimately had to just pick one and run it for a while to see if it was for me or not.

If you learn more about optics and the more you use/try, the better understanding you will have for future purchases. I spent a lot of time trying to find and play with scopes before buying... went to stores and bugged people at the range, who were generally always happy to show off their gear.

I was torn between the 3.5x and 4x options, reticle preference is just personal preference... I ended up with a TA31F

I'm almost 3/4 saved up for a ACOG so I can wait for a bit.

The ACSS version scored a much higher hit ratio then any other due to the ACSS.

ACSS is the exact one I want. Now I just got to trim some fat sitting in the safe and I should have enough soon.

If ACSS was available in 7.62x39 for ACOG, I'd probably buy it. If it was available for battery powered ACOG I'd buy it asap.

Own 5 Primary arms scopes and a red dot, good products for sure.
