    Millet 1-6x and a mount

Looking to buy a budget scope. What do you guys think of the millet illuminated scope? I plan on putting this on my tavor.
This will be my first scope.
How is it when its zoomed to 6x? Is the eye relief good?
As for the shadows that scopes creates if ur not directly behind seems to be a pain. Since this is a budget scope I assume you have to be directly behind it.
    Here's a link http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00J1W...96&sr=8-1&vs=1
Is there any other brands u guys can suggest for similar in price? Something better etc.

I've never tried or seen the 1-6x Millet.

Other budget options to research and consider:
    Vortex 1-6 strike eagle
    Primary Arms 1-6X

I haven't used any of them... cant offer any recommendation.

I suspect it's the same scope as the Primary Arms, with a different reticle. The PA is well known and fairly well regarded, I'd probably go for it rather than the Millet. There have been some threads here about the PA.

The Millet is not even close to the same as the Primary Arms IMHO.

I had a Millet 1-4x that broke when it just fell out of the safe onto carpet. The thing sucked before that so I didn't even bother sending it in to have them fix it. The glass is horrible compared to the PA 1-6x. The PA is also more durable from what I've experienced.

Spend a little more and get the PA 1-6x scope. I little internet research on your part will confirm that the PA is a well regarded optic.

I could be wrong, I just know the Vortex Strike Eagle is said to be the same scope as the PA. The Millet is a little MORE expensive than the PA too.

I've also noticed that most of these tactical scope whether its 1-4x or 6x are SFP.
why is that? And why not FFP?
I was also looking into the bushnell 1-4x which is FFP.

                And a Burris scope http://swfa.com/Burris-1-4x24-Fullfi...pe-P48171.aspx.

Out of the three and possibly the PA scope, which of the illuminated recticle is the best?

When it's a fairly low magnification scope, there are some advantages to SFP - it means that you can have a reticle big enough to see at low zoom but not huge at small zoom. With a relatively low max magnification, if you're using BDC you'll probably be zoomed in all the way anyway.

There are even some scopes now that're dual focal plane, with a SFP red dot (or similar) and FFP BDC.

I just picked up two scopes, both 1-6.5 Bushnell with retail price significantly over $1000. One is FFP, the other SFP... I'll have to figure out which one I like more.

I see. I would need to do more research on SFP vs FFP.
Although I read about it but it would be nice to c it for myself
