I have a Remington 700 AAC .308 (20" heavy barrel) I bought few yrs ago but never been out of safe since. So far since began shooting 8 yrs ago I use mainly irons (M1A, various ARs) and have a Eotech and 1-4x on 2 of my AR's as well, never gotten a longer distance scope.
To spice things up a bit I want to outfit my Rem 700 w a nice scope and get into more precision shooting- my range only goes to 600 yrds so let's say precision out to 600-700 yrds.
I have looked at a lot of scopes but so many are mil/moa and although been shooting for a while, as mentioned focus has been on irons so these reticles I see just confuse me- I do understand the basic concept between a regular mil or mil dot scope and that seems to be most of the offerings. I would like to keep it relatively light weight so nothing over 30 oz. Thinking 3-15x type mag should be enough. No real preference on SFP or FFP, more important to me is finding a quality scope w moa reticle and moa turrets, which for some odd reason seems very difficult to find.
I just think moa is easier for me to make adjustments in my head. Any suggestions on quality MOA/MOA scopes in the $1200-$1400 price range and around 3-15x mag would be much appreciated. Thanks
