Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x vs Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6x

What are your opinions concerning the Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x ($600) vs Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6x ($1400). Is the Vortex worth a little more than twice the price of the Leupold if I don't plan on going past 300 yards? A Trijicon AccuPoint 1-4x24 Green TR24G seems to be right inbetween but how is it better than the Leupold?

I want a scope for short range up to 200 maybe 300 yards? What would you suggest?

I have a Patrol and have used it out to 500 meters with my Para PSL. It does just fine even with the heavy recoil.

Nice, I think I'm going with the leupold. Thanks!

If you want to keep it inside 300 yards the Trijicon AccuPoint 1-4x24 is a SOLID optic... I would probably pick it over the Razor as well. With the triangle post reticle and inside those distances its a fuss free optic.

The Vortex Razor is also leaps and bounds better than the VX-R Patrol... The Razor has a wonderful FOV, excellent glass, daylight bright illumination, a very good reticle and excellent turrets if you ever needed to dial correction for longer shots.
