    1"Picatinny rail

I'm looking for a short section that I can mount to a floating hand guard (1" would be perfect) The upper I have doesn't have the same plane gas block like in the picture (top) so I could overlap the block a little. I found something close to what I need (bottom pic) but it looks a little long and I don't need the swivel mount.

FWIW, I'm just trying to mount a bipod that I have.

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I guess that would matter if I was going to mount the bipod to the top of the gas block

Is there some reason you can't just use a 2 or 3 inch section of rail? Those are basically all over the place. Depending on the handguard you'd need to drill and tap(or drill and bolt it from the backside), while maybe bedding the rail to the tube(with the release compound on the tube) so it doesn't shift if you can't find something with the exact curvature you need. If you really want something short, try to find a section of rail that has the fastener holes closer together and cut the ends off.

I guess I could cut and drill my own section. Getting the curvature isn't going to be easy but what the hec, I have a few grinders. The knurled section of the rail is raised and I kind of wanted to keep it in the smooth section. Its thick enough to drill and tap..
