    Sightmark magnifiers

I have never used a magnifier and wondering if anyone has experience with the 3x slide to side magnifier from Sightmark. I am wondering if this is a good entry level starting point to see if I like or would your recommend something else.

This is for an Aimpoint Pro and also a few lower end Red dots.

    thank you,

    Jeff

I don't have any experience with Sightmark magnifiers, but their red dot sights left a bad impression on me. If I were considering an inexpensive option, I would go with Primary Arms.

Shop our catalog of red dot sights. We carry top red dot sight like Primary Arms, Sig Romeo1, Sig Romeo MSR, Trijicon MRO, Trijicon RMR, EOTech exps2, Deltapoint pro, & more!

        I'm a fan of the Vortex VMX3-T:

The mount is an improvement over the original VMX3, which swung in an arc and ended up 180 degrees from where it started. This is much faster.

When I bought mine, I pulled one of everything we sell out of stock, and compared them - I bought the VMX3-T. The EOTech was a bit better to my eyes, but not enough to justify the difference in price - to me.

If I was fast-roping out of helicopters for a living, I would buy an EOTech, but I'm not.

I have the 3x sightmark magnifier one there great. I can reach out to 125 yards with it but I would recommend the 5x one it's easier on the eyes if you plan to shoot long distance. Also the neat thing about them is that they have left to right side and up to bottom top screw lens adjustments to align your red dot with it.
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.
