looking for a lightweight 30mm scope mount option.

I've been eyeballing Aero precision's lightweight mount, 3 oz for $80. Is there any other competitive alternatives at the same weight or less out there or should I just go for the ap mount.

Ditto.. i have the AP SPR as well and I love it. I wish it was a quick release or at least be able to remove the mount w/o a tool (ie like a big knob).

No big deal, I keep the included tool in my grip.

True quick could be nice, but that would add weight. For me quick release isn't a need for me, once it's mounted it's staying mounted.

I just purchased an AP mount. The extended is on backorder till June so I just jumped into the regular one. I might regret it since I'll lose the 1" eye relief.

I got more rail space to play with. Ar10 is pretty lengthy.

That's the idea for me---I mounted this scope and it's staying on there. The less weight the better on this particular Upper.

That and with QD systems I'm always tempted to fiddle with them and take them of for no other reason than just because it was easy and I can (the inner kid in me). Which would lead to re-zeroing alot...

From my own search and comparison for the price and value the Aero mount is the best choice for a light weight mount. If you aren't in a hurry wait for the extended version coming out soon. The extra eye relief will be worth it.
