    Good scope ring for AR15

I currently have these (UTG 1 inch hi-profile) for my scope ring on my AR15, but it's a bit too low for my comfort:

I would have to smash my face against the butt stock to get a clear view through the scope; I guess I have fat cheeks? Any recommendations for a scope ring that's a bit higher than the one above? I'm probably looking for one that's ~1/4" higher. FYI, my scope is 1inch tube. Thanks!

Just guessing about price point, but I think that the Burris PEPR Mount is what you are looking for. 1.5" to cl.

        Good scope ring for AR15

Don't use rings; use a one-piece mount that's designed to hold the scope at (the roughly) standard height. See this page for options.

The LT104 QD From LaRue. You'll never regret it.

I dunno, he might, considering it's amongst the worst QD mounts made today.

Leupold IMS. American Defense makes good QD mounts as well. Also, I would recommend a once piece mount specifically designed for an AR15 as opposed to two piece rings. And I don't really care for a quick release capability for my scope mounts.

Thanks. Is it 1.5" from the rail to the bottom of the scope? or rail to center of scope?

The UTG ring I currently have is about 1" from rail to bottom of scope

EDIT: I found out that UTG ring is 20mm from rail to bottom of scope. I'm guessing that the Burris PEPR is 1" from rail to bottom of scope. That's about 1/4" difference (20mm = 0.78"), which is just what I need. I'm going to give it a try, thanks!

I have two of the Freedom Reaper mounts from DNZ. Not QD, but I like to leave my optics alone after mounting and zero.

I use an ADM Recon Cantilever QD mount I'm very happy with. Not sure how high it is relative to the UTG rings but the height seems about perfect for me. The QD feature is nice; I generally remove my scope to shoot irons each range trip and POI shift is minimal.

I just set up the scope with the Burris pepr mount that I got. The height is perfect!

Why is the LaRue mount sucky? I have only heard good things about it so far....
