Does anyone know which one is better for the AR 15?

its depends on what you are wanting it to do for you. The CQT is a 1-3x scope with 2" relief (nice for medium range but hard for close up work). The Eotech is a 1x and better for targets 30-100yds out. Just my $.02

Here are a few difference between them. Which you care about depends on your use.

CQ/T - 1-3x, have to line up for eye relief to aquire target, have to deal with eye relief issues even at 1x, etched reticle still works with no power or in bright light, illumination isn't strong enough for full daylight, good optics clarity, a bit bulky and heavy, uses AA batteries, has a relatively small exit pupil, has easy adjustments even with gloves on.

Eotech - No magnification, fast aquisition even when off axis, no eye relief issues, useless if batteries or electronics fail, bright enough for strong daylight use, decent clarity, less bulky than CQ/T, choice of batteries (AA, N, CR123), no exit pupil issues, not easy to adjust with gloves or with a magnifier mounted in front (depending on the model).

The CQ/T was a contender when it was $400-500, and I like mine a lot, but with the prices up over $700, I'd be hard pressed to consider one seriously today. I really like the fast aquisition of the Eotech, too.

The EoTech is faster than the Leupold CQ/T but not by much. The eye relief to me is not really an issue the. The CQ/T are very robust and will take a lot more abuse than the EoTech. Some people have a problem with the price but they have no problem pay the price for a USO SN3 1-4x.

The EoTech 552 and 553 I really like but the 557’s are nice with the 3x but if you get the 3x then you are at the same price as the CQ/T.
