What is this thing?

Dumb question I'm sure, but I have no idea what this is.



1 piece only, it came with my last PSA rifle that has a Midwest Industries SS12G2 12" free-float rail. (I know it's for the rail because it screws perfectly into the rail's tapped holes.)

Some kind of sling attachment hardware? If YES on that, what kind of clip or hook attaches to it? The hole in this part looks too small to fit one of those HK hooks... It's really small.

It's a sling swivel stud. You attach a sling to it with a sling swivel.

It's a mount point for a sling or bipod.

I've never seen one of the sling swivels like the one pictured above before. Only the quick detach kind, with a post. Thanks again guys.

Uncle mikes sling swivel is the common brand.

Also NoHeavy mentioned bipod mounting stud....

Harris and the cheap chinese hawwis cwones will mount to that.
