    RDS under $200

I've narrowed it down to 3 that interests me and this will be going on my Tavor with a PA Long Eye Relief 3x magnifier. But I'm still not sure which one to buy. It'll replace my TRS-25 so it's between Sparc II, Strikefire II and the PA Advanced Micro dot. I am leaning towards more of the Sparc or PA but more of the PA because of the 50000 battery life but I like the Sparc and Strikefire lens cap but not their battery life. Sparc and PA has 2 MOA and Strikefire is 4. Strikefire is larger so more heavier also takes a different battery. Help me make a decision. Thanks.

The Sparc II is my favorite red dot in your price range:

There have been several torture tests done on the Sparc, you can google them. Very reliable.

That's what I am leaning towards. I like the PA because of the battery life. I'm still debating.

It's good for the price but not the best. It'll be going on my shotgun if I figure out what I want next.

Do what I have done--consolidate your optics and optronics to require CR123 batteries or nothing. That makes life a lot easier. Most of the good stuff that requires electricity uses CR123s these days, from rangefinders to intensifiers. Heck, even regular glass scopes are starting to use CR123s in their long range scopes just to illuminate the reticle. It costs a few bucks more, but it makes things much easier since you don't need to fritz with different types of batteries.

I'm still torn between the PA AMD or Sparc II. I like the Sparc because of the tethered caps, flip up caps and it comes with mounts. I like the PA because of the battery life.

Most buy it for its durability

I bought my SPARC (the first generation) based in large part on this review:
I first noted the SPARC in my Gamechangers SHOT 2010 thread. for everything that Vortex claims about this optic it is a make or break item. The Claims....WaterproofDay 1First thing I did was full up a

The flip-up lens covers included with the SPARC II are a great improvement over the bikini covers of the original, and I too like the tethered caps.

If you can wait a few weeks, we will have an exclusive tan SPARC II:

That's actually pretty slick because my Tavor is FDE.
