    Iron sight question

    Hey guys,
So I am in the process of building my first AR but I need advice on what rear sight to get. It is a carbine length gas system which will only be used for carbine classes, hd, and punching paper. Should I go fixed or flip? This will be my primary sight system for a while before I can afford an eotech or an acog (a debate for another day). Which one will be better for KISS? Thanks guys!

Go A2 rear sight. Learn on that and you'll be a better marksman for it.

Then take this class: Current Appleseed Schedule for the State of California

Since you do plan to add optics later I would go flip ups. I would only go fixed if I never had intentions to mount an optic.

What drifts said. I prefer the clean pov through my red dot than having a fixed front sight in my view. Or get some Daniel defense fixed front/rear sights and run those until you decide on a red dot. Resale value on those are pretty good.
