    Flashlight Help

I have been researching some different types of flashlights. Im in the market for a light 70 and under! I looked into the surefire g2x pro, the 6px, also some different fenix lights. Im just not sure which one to get. I looked over at the candlepowerforum and there is just so much information its overwhelming.

Can someone please help me out in choosing the right flashlight. its for edc as well as my bed side light. Any help would be awesome!!

For edc, I carry the Surefire eb1. Bought it used on eBay for $80. Super bright light. The Fenix E15 is small and can be worn on your keychain. Also bright at it's highest setting. I'd recommend the Surefire G2 or 6P for double duty thou.

For price comparison and lumen. I went with nitecore p12 and never looked back. Awesome light. I have surefire on one of my firearms for durability but edc I carry the 'lower end' brands and give you more for your money than you may ever need. Frankly the big brands are overated in capablity and price except for mounted weapon light. Streamlight is quite well and priced competitively. There are several other foreign brands that compete with the nitecore p30. Klarus and eagletac came real close and probably be future ones. Came down to the features such as momentary on, strobe, light levels, LED, throw and flood etc. My p12 turns on at the last setting so I don't have to repeatedly push to get low or start off blinding myself 900+ lumens in middle of the night and find it an amazing lil light. Youtube is your friend too, to research different ones. Good luck, it turns into a nonsensical research/learning of flashlights but well worth it.

i'm a fan of Surefire handheld flashlights. if you want 'new' for $70.00 or under, check out the Surefire 6P; a tried-and-true Surefire classic.

I decided to go with the surefire 6Px tactical!! 320 lumens is plenty enough for me. plus decent battery life. Also does anyone know of a really good flashlight that uses double A's
