    Range Bag suggestions?

I've never owned a real live range bag before, just repurposed old surplus bags which never were able to contain my complete range kit, especially since CA requires transport in locking containers (I use MTM Case Guard models)
Funds are tight so modestly price ones are appreciated, preferably without any imprinted firearms related logos.

Check the MidwayUSA offerings. Great quality at great prices. Occasionally on sale, too.

I am also in the market and everything I have read; points to midway.

Even when I was reading reviews on other bags, a lot of times when I read a bad review; they mentioned that they went with a midway bag after, and they are ten times better.

They have a locking backpack that hold like 5 pistols or so, but I'll be getting their ar15 bag. I heard it can hold a LOT of weight

For quality, go with a Shooter's Connection bag. For a tight budget, the Midway bag is a nice deal. They are both the same design, but SC bag's are put together better with much better materials.

Downside with the Midway range bags and the gun rugs/envelopes, are that they don't have an easy way to lock up your guns. The zippers are rather poor quality too. My dump pouch came apart after 4 days at front sight.
But, it was cheap. I have now gone back to using my old range bag plus two smaller locking bags by voodoo tactical. I think it's called the swanks pistol bag. Allows for locks and just the right size for your pistols. Two in each bag.

This is a good starter option that is affordable and multi-use.

I use either a Midway Pro Series bag or a Camelbak pack - full of pockets

              I love either option.

Here's how I solved that problem. YMMV.
I got the Midway Competition Range Bag as a Christmas gift. Since we go to the outdoor range in my buddy's Grand Cherokee, I bought one of the plastic truck boxes from Home Depot. Range bag goes in my car trunk which counts as locked container. From my trunk it goes into truck box with all our other gear for the day and gets triple padlocked. (there's 3 locking points) Now all our guns are in a locked container that we each have keys for. (keyed alike locks) Meets all requirements for a locked container, and only cost like $25 for the box plus whatever it cost for the keyed alike locks. No need for individual padlocks on everything.

I agree they have a couple on close out currently that are nice. I recently got one and the thing is huge.

Have you looked at Lucky Gunner?

These bags go on sale frequently! $9.99! And, they're pretty decent.

Yes, it is true they have the branding on the bag, but it's low on the bag and black-hard to see.

I buy a few when they go on sale and I give them out for B-Day and Christmas gifts.

I don't have one of these, but it looks pretty good and it does lock:

This looks interesting for $20 (plus $5.50 shipping)... seems to be a good price for nice quality. LA Police Gear. Has hook/loop on the side so you can a tag of some sort down the line. In the FAQ's it says the main compartment can be locked on the LARGER bag, I just ordered this one and it can NOT be locked so will probably send it back.

I have this bag for the range - like it much better than the blackhawk bags.

I have two range bags. A regular Midway range bag for long gun shooting, and a G.P.S. Handgunner backpack for handgun shooting. The backpacker design is just too handy not to have.

I've been using this bag for the last several years an it holds alot and it's well built. Well worth the 20 bucks. LAPG will sometimes have promo's and you can get it for free too with certain purchases. Ask me how I got three more brand new still in the package....
