Hidden Mirror Compartment

hey can anyone point me in the right direction or a link on creating a mirror slider door to a compartment to fit in the wall.

I want something thats hidden behind a mirror. something long like the mirrors the ladies can stare at lengthwise. ill upload a couple pics for examples

Just wanted to find some diy if anyone had one in mind. I just dont know the types of hinges and sliders it uses

i have been looking at going with something like number 4 and then hanging a full size mirror over to conceal the safe.

My intention is not to keep burglars out i have an alarm, but rather to keep the location and its very presence unknown from visitors and kids. Basically my plan is to keep the gun cases locked and treat them as if there are still firearms inside but the rifles will be in this hidden location.

i love the idea, but don't be naive and think that an experienced burglar wouldn't find the prize behind the frontpiece. the same criminals that hide contraband from correctional officers in the state prisons will be the ones burglarizing homes.

I truly agree with the advice on not being naive with this project and think everyone should but for me, this is just a spot for 1 out of sight self defense firearm since my safe is not a quick easy open/near or can fit near where I sleep. And I certainly can't fit all my arms behind a mirror.

So in the event these ex convict ninja terrorist thieving uneducated lowlife criminal scum somehow get past my alarm system and my lovable hound dogs want to come in and dance, I'll be able to provide the entertainment at a moments notice. I actually also plan on mounting a Santa Cruz security mount to the stud behind the mirror with a hidden switch to release this noise making led spitting peacemaker. Therefore it's gonna be a LITTLE harder for the kids to pull it out.

I'll definitely be making a project and album for the guys interested to see and maybe perfect what I cant

Maybe you could use drawer sliders that have a detent. I'm sure a hardware store has some nice sliders that you could mount to a mirror frame.
