    Safe wrap/cover

Any of you guys remember this thread?

My wife sent me a link to these refridgerator wraps that are either magnetic or have some low tack adhesion.

Well this got me thinking that you could use them to cover your safe. I know that some/most of us have our safes somewhat hidden and out of sight. Mine is in my man cave, but for those who want or need to disguise or cover their safe, this would be a cool solution.

This company will even do a custom print for you.

Then I found these guys who are already making them for gun safes.

We sell night vision products, thermal imaging, infrared devices, vinyl products for anything and everything you can think of, drone products and accessories, and more.

I don't think it would necessarily hide the fact that it is a safe - however, it is a good way to make it look less industrial, and more accommodating to its environment if its out in the open somewhere...

ETA: I just took a closer look... I thought these were magnetic - they are not, they are vinyl... anyone that has installed vinyl overlays or window tint knows the challenges with installing it (not highly difficult, but certainly more to it than slapping a magnet on the surface)... also, for safes that have texture, this won't work.

Check out the fridgefront link. They make a magnetic version as well as low adhesion. Cut to shape and stick it on. Not at labor intensive as a vinyl wrap.

yes, I'm familiar with the fridge magnet panels... but I really like the idea of custom design and custom cut (from the second link)... the vinyl would probably be worth the effort on a smooth exterior safe - but most are textured.

My current safe is tucked out of sight... but I have been considering a second that would have to be out in the open... I'll research more on the Fridgefront to see what options they have (I'm not sure its as customizable - but possibly doable).

Good thread, thanks for posting it

                      Thanks!

When I inquired about their products this was reply I received. While I did not ask about textured vs smooth finishes, I figured that both of fridgefront solutions (magnetic and vinyl) would work, since many refrigerators do have a textured finish.

But don't quote me on this. Might want to inquire with them. They seem to be the cheapest of the other vendors I've encountered online.

                      Cheers!

                      Hi Jel,

Both the magnet and vinyl are very easy to cut with scissors or a utility knife. We do make covers from customers pictures.

The image has to be a high definition picture because we enlarge them and you don't want the image to be blurry or grainy.

Let me know what you would like to do.

                      Thank you,
                      Joseph
