I just bought a gun with a CA compliant lock that holds the slide open and goes through the magazine well. I don't like how that may allow gunk to get in there when it's in my range bag, and I wonder if storing the gun with the slide open like that could affect the operation of the gun over the long run. I'd like to replace it with a trigger lock. I went to the CA DOJ site and they list specific requirements for safes, but not for locks. They have several large PDFs that list manufacturers of locks, or names of approved devices, but not a list of trigger locks or what the specific requirements are for Firearm Safety Devices.
Are combination trigger locks compliant, or do they have to be keyed?
Can anyone recommend some CA compliant trigger locks?
