    Safe affidavit

I did a PPT at Grant Boy's last weekend and it was the first time I was able to answer "yes" to the "Do you have a gun safe?" question. Problem is, I think I have a knockoff and I don't think it's up to the requirements of the DOJ affidavit. I'm planning on just paying the $10 for the extra lock (just to buy the piece of mind), but I'm going to be looking for another safe ASAP.

I'm looking for something that can accommodate 2-5 long guns (say an AR15, 2 shotguns, and a .308) and about the same number of pistols. Ideally I'd be able to move this into my upstairs apartment on my own.

    Any suggestions?

As i recall when filling out the safe affidavit there are two parts to it.

#1 was make and model and #2 was that it was of a specific material thickness and lock design.

      Here is the form.

A safe affidavit may not be acceptable to the Feds, possibly depending upon what you bought (handgun/longgun)... The specifics elude me right now.

That certainly seems to fit the bill.

          Thank you.
