    A "Lighten up Francis" thread

I am not posting this to promote myself. I am posting this because sometimes the off topic forum neeeds a something different to debate that does not involved politics. So feel free to tell me how much my work offends you.
This is only a prototype so any mistakes (like crapy stitch lines I'm aware of.
This is a new (for me) style for full size 1911s losely based on a wild bunch rig mated with the rig Nick Nolte wore in the 1987 move Extreme Prejudice.
Ignore that the belt and holster carving does not match. Thats one of my personal belts and the color match was pretty close, excpet for differnt thread colors on the stitching.

What about all the poor cows that suffered for that holster???!!

Nice work! I tried some leatherwork once and was horrible at it. It's nice not to see tacticool black or FDE for a holster.

How well does that style of holster hold the gun?

Oh and since you were all prepared for criticism. Your shoes are ugly!

The only thing I could suggest is that you cover the trigger completely or risk plugging yourself in the leg.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

No, every holster is made one at a time by hand, by me. I do all tooling carving, dyeing blah blah blah. Here's one I'm making for the man I named my first son after. Hey guys like getting flowers too right?

I haven't stsarted on the belt yet. Still waiting for him to ship me the buckle he wants to use.

Now that is the nicest holster I've seen in quite a while. As for criticism, I'm offended that I don't see a Glock in that holster.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

Damn Fredo, you got some talent boy!

When I was a young'un, my father worked in North Hollywood, and there was a shop in NH called Alfonso's. He had the nicest darn holsters and belts.....I think the shop is still around, but he has to dead because that was a long time ago.
