Howard Leight vs. Howard Leight/Honeywell

Hi there,

About to order another pair of ear muffs. I see a lot of reviews for the Howard Leight R-01526 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

but, not a lot for the Howard Leight by Honeywell R-01902 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I was wondering if any of you have any direct comparisons or experience with either?

Here is my background and intended use. Probably always indoor shooting, maybe out at an outdoor range once in a while. I currently have Champions, but not much of a fan of those. http://www.amazon.com/Champion-40974.../dp/B001E8PPM0
They don't get loud enough for me and they use 4 batteries vs. 2. My hearing is pretty shot (guitar player), so I want to do as much as possible to protect what little I have left. So, I will double up ear plugs + ear muffs. The advantage of the Honeywell version is that they get louder vs. the R-01526.

The only downside I see to the Honeywell version is that they are a lot bulkier (and costlier).

P.S. Was thinking of just ordering both and returning the one I don't like.

The expensive one appears to be NRR 30 compared to the less expensive NRR 22 (I have these, but have used them just once so far - I need the plugs as well as the muffs.)

Not that critical if you wear eye protection and the earpieces break the seal, somewhat, of the earcups.

Thanks! I noticed that too after I posted. I wear rx glasses, so I always double up with earplugs.
