    Cheap, Quality Kydex Holsters

I have been on a constant search trying to find a quality holster at a reasonable price for my M&P 40 with a TLR-1 light. I looked at Raven, but I didn't want to wait months for a holster. There is Off The Grid Concepts which make nice kydex with less of a wait time, but their prices aren't much different than Ravens. I recently found a company that is from my hometown in Alabama that started their business by selling kydex on Ebay under the name "Hideous Holsters". They have since changed their name to "Zero Concealment Systems" and they have quality gear at amazing prices. I know most of us on this forum aren't high speed operators and most haven't been in the military. But nowadays with all the "training videos" everyone wants to pretend to be an operator. Well this company will help you guys with all your high speed holster needs. And on top of their super cheap prices they provide a Military and LEO discount. Do a Youtube search for Hideous Holsters and look at some of their reviews. Their Website is http://www.zeroconcealmentsystems.com/. Check them out.

I just placed an order with these guys. I ordered 1 holster for my M&P with TLR-1 in Flat Dark Earth, 1 double pistol mag carrier for M&P in FDE, and 1 holster for my issued Berreta M9 in FDE. For all that custom kydex with my military discount and 7 dollars shipping I only paid $125. When I go home next month for R&R I will post pics.

    ****UPDATE 07/26/12****

I received my holsters so I thought I would post some pics of them. They are great and have amazing retention.

Yeah well kydex isn't made to be pretty. It is supposed to be practical, unlike leather that is expensive and not suited for most tactical environments.

I ordered a Felon Series holster for my Beretta 90-two along with a double mag carrier. Once I shoot an IDPA match or two with them I'll report back with a full review.

Well, I got mine in today. Ordered the mini felon series for my M&P compact, and added the extra "versa loop" IWB attachments. Well there is good and bad news, the good news is the retention is stiff at first but is already starting to loosen up a tad to where it feels just right. Its also very easy to swap out the different loops, nothing more than a phillips head screwdriver needed. Also it did not take much time for me to get it at all, I ordered it on the 29th and received it earlier today (the 9th) so it didn't take the 30 days like I was expecting.
Bad news is the versa loop IWB attachments are pretty much pointless. With it IWB it rides so high almost the entire gun is above the belt line. While IWB only about an inch and a half of the holster is actually inside my pants, this means it is almost falling out. I would much rather it ride lower to better hold and better conceal.
I find this holster not super comfortable, but I also dot have much to compare this to, as I don't have much experience with holsters and this is my first all kydex holster. A better belt might help me out a little I hear.
For the otd price of about 50 bucks its not that bad. I had higher expectations but I will still use it for range use.

I wear mine OWB and have no issues. I have wondered about the IWB comfort level. It seems common sense that having a very hard piece of plastic inside of your pants is not going to be comfortable, but as many people will tell you "It isn't supposed to be comfortable, it is supposed to be comforting." I would try different types of loops or even email the company and ask them about their recommendations. They may be able to help you out. You will definitely want a sturdy belt. I plan on getting something like the Vanguard 2 for my M&P compact and appendix carrying it.
