    rechargeable cr123 batteries?

Sorry if this is the wrong section but I know a lot of you guys use optics with cr123 batteries.

Hi, I'm looking for A good rechargeable cr123 set of batteries for my eotech and surefire flashlight. Does anybody know where I could buy a rechargeable set? I need about 9-12 rechargeable cr123 batteries.

    Thanks

Try here to start -- http://christelden.hubpages.com/hub/...es-Lithium-Ion

    Moved.

We don't really 'do' batteries here. Maybe candlepower forums...

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

RCR123 have a higher voltage than CR123's, check with your device to make sure it can handle the higher voltage:

It sounds odd, but you may want to try an electric RC forum. wattflyer.com is a good one and a lot of those guys use a wide vaiety of battery chemistry. They would know where/if those batteries exist and how to charge them.

            +1 batteryjunction.
Bulk panasonic 1800mAh, same as rebranded Surefire.
They last a lot longer than the rechargeable 3.0's.

3.6's will run on some flashlights, but not all, because high end stuff tend to be voltage regulated. They work great in my cheap DealExtreme led's, but i go thru lights and batteries like cheetos.

Rechargeable 123s will work fine with LED lights, but they'll blow out the Xenon bulbs on the older-type Surefires.

              "Of course not!"
              "You're not changing anything."

This is not true. There are many flashlights on the market that accept one 18650 or two CR123's, but two RCR123's deliver more voltage than the LED can handle. The new Fenix TK15 and the Eagletac T20C2 are a couple examples in the new XM-L realm of lights, but there are many more that do not accept RCR123's even though they do work great with the non-rechargable CR123's.

Disposable CR123 batteries from Batteryjunction.com and sometimes Amazon are way cheaper to buy from than Walgreens or Target and they last a long time. Unless your using your lights a lot (like an hour+ a day?) why use rechargable?
In an emergency where the power goes out for a long time you won't be able to plug in your charger anyway. With a 10 year shelf life I just buy a dozen or so for my SF G2 and Streamlight Polytach HP and that should last me 2-5 years easy.
Remember to not buy CR123 batteries made in China. Many stories of them exploding so its not worth it. Good luck.
