    something new

Well here is a gun safe design I have yet to see
    This looks pretty interesting
Rarely do gun storage solutions excite me.As a kid I grew up with the romantic notion that one day I would be hanging my guns above the fireplace, next to oversized deer antlers, for all to see and admire. For most, if not all, of us city dwellers this is no longer a safe or practical way to store our firearm collection.

That is very cool and a great idea. If you have an amiore or closet, it could easily be hidden away from prying eyes as well.

One problem, it only weights 112 lbs...could be easily stolen. I wonder if they have made any provisions to allow it to be bolted to the walls and/or floor?

If you own a drill you could probably anchor it to the floor, the corner and probably one wall stud.

looks like it might do well placed inside a walk in closet.

This does not appear to be a safe where the primary goal is protection from theft. The objective is home defense and it protects the contents from others in the house (i.e. kids) and can be placed in plain sight.

My guess is that the people who buy a safe like this already have a large safe, were planning on getting a handgun safe anyway ($100+) and will move up to something a bit bigger.

It's nice to see a company think differently - we don't all want the same exact solution, yet if you look at the hundreds of available safes, they are nearly all identical.

I like it. Shotgun, handgun, and a couple of boxes of ammo go inside while other items like flashlights, radio, phone, knife, etc. can go on top. My only concern is flexibility for varying the height for a tactical shotgun.

Admittedly the price is an issue, we'll see how steep the discounting is after a year or so.

you could weld and bolt them all together; would confuse any burglar. to drive the burglar nuts... do it backwards.
