    Moving a safe upstairs

How did you guys move your safes upstairs? I got a centurion 12 cubic foot safe I need to get upstairs, it's less than 300lbs. Would this be safe to put in my second floor walk-in closet? I got tension cable slab, so I can't bolt it down in my garage. Thanks

Search this forum for the word, "stairs", and you'll see several posts that should answer your questions.

I bought an Amsec BF series safe and I also have a post-tensioned slab. The installers had no issues bolting it to the floor.

The place I bought mone from had this electronic dolly thing that could walk up stairs. I just watched to make sure they didn't damage anything in the process.

I suspect they didn't drill deep enough to get close to the cables.

Pour a slab under the safe so it sits 6" above the garage floor. Then drill it into the slab. Otherwise get a Colson dolly and a few friends.

I like that idea. Better protection from flooding. Extend the slab a couple of feet beyond the safe and it protects it from getting bumped by the car.
