Need help finding a biometric locking cabinet

    Hi guys,

I have a client who has a super cheap cabinet that they keep all their class II narcotics in and someone broke into it by I think picking a cheap lock on it. I suggested getting a biometric lock to prevent that from happening in the future.

Anyone know of something that? Ideally it will be able to be hung on a wall so it can't really be a huge safe or anything, but if it comes down to it, we can work with a safe.

    Thanks.

Hrm, those seem a bit too small and too big.

here is a photo from the security video of the cabinet they have now.

Anyone know of anything that resembles that, but with a biometric lock rather than a keyed lock?

If the cabinet they have now suits their needs other then the locking mechanism. You could have a lock smith or and alarm company modify it for higher security. Either a separate zone could be set up to specifically disarm the cabinet. Or higher grade/different design locking mech could be installed.

I was just in Cold Steel Safes in Roseville a couple days ago. They have a bunch of electronic wall safes that fit between the studs. I believe they have biometric ones.

Yeah, it's fine. I mean, if they wanted to someone could just take a prybar and get into it no problem, but someone was jimmying the lock because I think they were trying to be sly about it so they could keep doing it over thel ong run.

So basically we're just trying to get a locking mechanism on there that is not key based. Something like a fingerprint reader. Something that can't be easily hacked.

Not the largest, but this is interesting.

They had about 3 different brands. I can't recall what they were because I wasn't shopping for one.

Ok, how about a small safe that isn't too expensive, under 100 bucks that is around 1-2 cubic feet? Opens with a fingerprint reader that can hold at least 5 users?

I was just in Costco and they had a small (I think 1.2 cu. ft.) biometric (finger print) Sentry safe. I didn't look at the price.
