    I "Bubba'd" my Streamlight

    It broke. I glued it.

It broke again. I glued it again. I drilled it. I pinned it. I grinded it.

How long do you think it will last?

Should’ve sent back to streamlight when it originally broke. Might have been covered under warranty.

Streamlight may still cover the light or light-body under warranty, if needed.

Otherwise, that's some good work, along with pics for documenting that work.

If me, I'd have bought another while contacting Streamlight and sending the 1st one back for repair or replacement.

What's the material/rod used for the pin?
I'll try to remember this pinning-technique should I ever need to do so someday.

I probably could have done that, but what fun would that have been? Seriously though, it's over seven years old.

The pin is an old 1/16" DeWalt drill bit

How did you break it in the first place?

Honestly, I have no idea. It hasn't been mounted on anything since I moved here last Fall. I was reorganizing all my gun stuff, pulled it out, and noticed it was cracked. It's on my Sig 2022 right now and feel solid as a rock!

                  Needs more Flex Seal tape.

And a bunch of JB weld paste underneath that tape.

I say now that you've had some fun fixing it and re- fixing it give their customer service a try and let us know how it goes.

Explain that you were in the field / cat sandbox / deep undercover and you were using your skills to fix it and that's not working so could they give it a shot.

                  Just say it like this...

"I don't know who you are.
I don't know if you want to fix my Streamlight.
If you are looking for me to pay for it,
I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of flashlight fixing skills.
Skills I have acquired over 2 very long weekends.
Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.

If you hang up or decide to fix my streamlight now, that'll be the end of it.

I will not look for you,
                  I will not pursue you,
but if you don't do either of those two things, I stay on this phone line until you hang up or fix my streamlight."

You need to use Mighty Putty next.
