    HD long gun light options

I have been out of the lighting knowledge zone for a while and was looking to add a pressure switch on my TLR-1 for a long gun light, but it is almost as much as buying a new light! So I am looking for a good light to mount to a MLok rail. I don't want to drop a ton of money but want something decent and fairly small.
I don't see a lot of the TLR style lights on rails, mostly handheld units?
Any recommendations or things to avoid?

If you already have a TLR1, a pressure switch is $35 on Amazon. I have this setup on a few ARs and it works very well. I wouldn?t cheap out on a HD light. TLR1 with a pressure switch is a solid setup

I put mine on a rail right where my thumb can rest on the rocker switch.

The TLR1 door is about $43 and a switch is another $35. I may try to use as is for now. Thanks.
I have replaced the switch door already on both of mine- they break easy!

If you have the front sight post,

Elzetta makes a clamp that hooks to the post and holds light underneath. Just run your support hand forward to push the switch.

Yes, I see your point. I forgot about the door.

            Maybe one of these?

That?s just what you get with a cheaper light. You got Modlite, cloud defense and arisaka but they?re going to cost you. I didn?t know maglite was US made but man do they suck, I was just laughing recently when I found one in the garage. Big old light that barely puts out any light compared to my little mini streamlight micro.

I have this light on a BCM rifle and love it. The battery life is actually pretty darn good. Like they always last longer than advertised.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

They also sell them at sportsman’s warehouse for the same price as Amazon, at least they did a couple years ago when I got mine. I bought it with a sportsman’s gift card.
