Streamlight new ProTac 2.0 at SHOT 2023

This year marks their 50th Anniversary and at SHOT Show this year, I got a chance to see some of their new products. They?ve updated their ProTac flashlight line with version 2.0 models that all output 2000 lumens for up to two hours! Unfortunately they accomplish this using a proprietary high capacity battery which may be a deal-breaker for some but most will still work with standard sized lipo batteries but with a lower light output.

The New handheld is intriguing... I'm gonna check it out.

I like the high output, high run time... but I don't like charging batteries with USB (I always put 'em on a charger) - that battery looks pretty beefy and doubtful it will fit in charger.

What is the estimated street price?

Spare batteries are pricey -$50 for two (I can't find them sold single anywhere)

2K lumens with over 2 hr runtime... I'd say yes.

I'm a big fan of streamlight handhelds ... have a bunch or poly-tac x and two pro-tac hl 5-x and a couple smaller lights...

I'm anxious to get this new pro-tac - i ll ike the size and specs... just wish I could find single battery (light comes with one and additional are only sold in pairs - I dont see a need for three)
