    Clr?

I keep reading about CLR. Can someone tell me what this is? I know I have some for my bathroom, but, I am guessing that we are talking about something else for firearms.
    Thanks,
    T.

Break-Free CLP is a good all-around product. I recommend the liquid over the aerosol.

Don't know. Maybe the article had it wrong. I don't know if it was talking about a process or a product, but, the context of the article made me believe it was a product. I currently use Simple Green to clean my toys and then I use Break Free to lube it.

The stuff works great on my car windows and paint.

Where we live our water is supplied by our own well. The water is pumped out of the ground by a 2 HP 240 volt 3 wire electric motor 24 stage pump and stored in a 1000 gallon stainless steel pressure tank.

And since its not treated it has a lot of minerals in it.

And since I use that water to wash my vehicles the minerals tend to collect on the paint and glass.

This is how I make use of this chemical on at least a monthly basis.

Just don't let it sit forever on the paint and or glass and you will be OK.

OHH and a disclaimer I didn't cut and paste this PSA.

Look closely at your bottle of Break Free, it will say CLP on it. The 15 year old bottle that I have says it on the label.

                Here's the difference

                CLR

                CLP

                Two TOTALLY different products.

I tried to lube my .22 with CLR, and it totally didn't work.

                  I want a refund.

Not to hijack too much, but how is it that TT has ZERO posts?
Did you get some kind of special dispensation?

He has some kind of ninjitsu. I saw him with 1 right after a post at one point, and then it reset to 0 shortly thereafter. So, I'm not exactly sure how he does it, but he does.

Thats good to know. Thanks. I saw in an Armorers video that Simple Green was used to clean a 1911 before using break free on it. I haven't used it on an AR receivers. Thanks for the heads up.
What do you guys use to clean?

First I use some break free, then I use some break free. I finish it off with a light coat of break free.
