    Safariland 013 Competition Holster, Setup

I just acquired an old school competition holster, the Safariland 013. Does anyone recall how to correctly set this up? Or, does anyone have an instruction sheet I can buy a copy of?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

(note, photo below is not my holster but is almost identical except for the slide button near the top)

I actually picked up the older Safariland 012 in an antique shop find and asked similar questions about putting on a new belt attachment.

Ultimately removed the factory belt attachment and mounted it to a leftover Bladetech adjustable stingray belt loop. Oh and I'm using this for my Springfield TRP.

Thanks for the info. What is the little rectangular piece on the bar for? Is it to space the holster away from you?

Yes and it's more for comfort instead of having any pointy parts of the holster dig into your leg when reholstering. The newer versions have a circular disc (cookie shape) instead of the rectangle.

          OP,

Call Safariland. They are still around and pretty helpful.
