Im not trying to post sales thread - but drawing attention to what looks to be an incredibly awesome bipod... Below is OP from Deals thread

I tried to convince myself not to get one... But couldn't resist... I'm pretending it's dedicated for Ruger RPR (that's my current expense excuse rifle)... But considering its QD, it'll get gang-bang action...

This is not a cheap low budget bipod (skip the sale if that's what you need)... It's Atlas and Harris combined at a price I can't find anywhere else

I've got an Atlas, GG&G, Bugger & Thomet (the other B&T, Swiss made impossible to find - B& T is to Euro what H& K is here)... And the customary Harris... Atlas is by far my favorite and I'm REALLY looking forward to getting this Modular Evolution - from what I've researched it will meet and exceed my reasons for Atlas being the fav.

Not a fan of bipods, but if i were to buy one it would probably be the KAC. That thing looks like another craptastic product thats in line with the other lightweight and gucci unproven parts that rainier sells

WoW! This thing kicks azz!!!

Been out of town - it delivered earlier in the week - just got it tonight... I can promise you, you'll be hearing a lot about this bipod - its REALLY good! Not a flavor of the month, it's a great unit.

Of all the bipods I have this is already my favorite... I have (and use most) Atlas - great bipod, and I've been thinking about getting another - glad I waited because the Modular Evolution has everything the Atlas has and more...

Also have a GG&G (not a fan and never use it), Versapod 300 (very stout but QD is difficult and it's not worth the normal price, I got it on sale - its dedicated to Rem 700 308 cause QD is cumbersome), B&T (not the Atlas B&T - the Swiss made Brugger & Thomet - quality gear that isn't very well known In the states - the bipod is hard to find, but the lightest I've ever found - quality poly unit I use on lightweight build - just because)... And the ol standard Harris (it's fine, but sits on a hunting rifle that I never use)...

Of those I have, the Atlas was the whore that got used on most rifles... This Modular Evolution has the same ADM QD (but with an extended lever - wider than my Atlas, that might be how they are making them now?), a pod lock type lock lever, Harris style spring loaded legs (made of carbon fiber) the legs have similar radius adjustments that Atlas has (collar to deploy legs, but spring loaded), and an Atlas style collar than allows legs to be removed (other leg length available and tripod mount available < that's a little gimmicky imo)...

I can't say enough good things about this bipod - its worth looking up reviews - there are some you tube vids that go over the features... Rainier is usually spendy - and while it isn't cheap, the sale price was well worth it! I'm not sure what the common price will be - but it looks to rival Atlas pricing... As much as I love Atlas, id recommend this bipod over any other (I was recommending Atlas when most people poo pood the price and claimed Harris to be the best - funny how now you see Atlas mentioned every time someone asks about the best)...

You heard it here - Modular Evolution just set the bar higher - and is definitely the winner for me.

Needless to say - no, this isn't a "craptastic" gimmick... It truly is a great piece of equipment.

I paid 277.94 shipped (to AZ)...

At that price it's every bit worth it... I'm not sold on the current price - but like I said, Rainier is generally pricey...

I've posted in the deals section often - but rarely do I piggyback to a general use forum... When I do, it's always because I think it's worth the consideration... This was one of those times.

I think the general "street" price will be less... This piece hasn't gained a lot of traction yet (but I strongly suspect it will)... When it becomes more common, other vendors may have it cheaper?... If so - I'd suggest grabbing one... Anything near Atlas pricing is by far worth it - and honestly, based on Atlas price, the current Rainier price isn't out of line (I wouldn't have bought one at that price though - I would have just got another Atlas).

One thing is certain - when you get one (at a price you are comfortable with) - you definitely will be happy when you receive it! I was very pleasantly surprised... I felt confident at time of purchase - but it truly exceeded my expectations.
