Glock 43 with Pearce +1 reliability???

Anybody have any first hand experience with a Glock 43 and the Pearce +1 magazine grip extension? Any reliability issues? Feeding issues? Slide lock issues after the last round? I haven't found any negative comments on it ...yet.

I'm not interested in any +2 or greater extension, just this one by Pearce.

    Thanks for the replys.

Ps. I've given up trying to post a picture on Calguns anymore because I can never get it to work. So here's the URL of a picture:

Specializing in replacement grips for firearms.

    Posting picture ...

On that page, put your mouse-cursor on the lower pic. On my mac, the command is 'control-click' and I get a popup menu including "Copy link location".

Use the 'picture icon' to get image tags, and paste the copied URL

The picture must be hosted on an http-retrievable server, which is why things on your regular laptop or desktop cant be displayed that way (but you can 'attach' such files).

Sorry, don't own any extensions; can't answer your real question.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I have found them to work flawlessly.

If you are concerned about the spring, you can upgrade it:

The Extra Power Mag Spring for G43 is designed to ensure proper feeding with your +1 or +2 extension of your Mag Extension for Glock 43, available now through GlockStore.com

I did this just to be safe on the plus 2's.

I rotate all of my g43 mags when I hit the range so that they are constantly tested.

I use the plus 1 in my EDC g43 with confidence...

Ah-Ha! Thanks Linrarian! After reading your reply, I think it's because I'm always on an Apple iPad and that must be the issue. If I were on a PC, it probably wouldn't be a problem. Thanks again.

GnR, thank you for the 411! Do you use an extra power spring for that +1 as well, or just the +2's?

Also, I really like what I've seen about the MagGuts springs for the +1 addition while keeping the mag flush. I'd rather have that instead of the pinky extension, but the price of $25.00 + shipping really makes those Pearce alternative much more attractive. I only bought one magguts spring and it performs flawlessly, but I don't think I'll buy more of those springs.

          Your thoughts?

          Thanks.

I do it from iPad all the time. Just hold your finger down on a picture, and a box will popup with an option to COPY or SAVE. In this case, 'COPY' copies the URL of the picture, which you can then use to paste inline into a Calguns post.

I use the Pearce +1 baseplates, they seem fine. I don't use extra power springs, but if Wolff sold a +10% spring I would buy it.

I carry with a Taran +1 baseplate because it is a tad lower profile, but my spare mags have Pearce (cheaper). I shaved my Pearce baseplates so they are smaller - I don't need that extra bit of finger hook myself, and it reduces the profile just a touch under the shirt without it.

Here is a shaved Pearce +1.

Very nice "shave" job. I was thinking of doing the same with a Dremmel tool and making it even flatter to almost like the flat Glock OEM. I might mess with one this weekend. I found Pearce +1's online for $6.00 plus change.

Let me know if you get it any shorter. I used an Exacto razor saw to take the nub off then rounded off the sharp edge and polished it so it looks factory. But I took it right down to the base, without thinning out the base. It will make sense when you see one in person.

I did not explore removing any material from the actual base to see how thin I could go, I don't think you can go much further. You might be able to round off the front a bit more. For $6 though, it would be worth it to see how far you can take it.
