    Rifle Safe

I own 6 Rifles and Want a 16-18 gun safe.
Where do i start. Ive been to 2 safe distributers and both exp!ained their safes.
Both offered delivery and start up packages etc...
Both had same gauge doors one was electronic one was dial.
Both had the same fire rating.
I know a safe can be cant stop a professional or someone with the know how, but how do i chose.
I expect to pay as much as my total rifles cost so money isnt an issue.
Size is as i want it upstairs in my Master Bedroom and want to keep it No Bigger then 500 lbs empty and No Bigger then 16-20 Rifle count.

    Any Suggestions.

No idea who the two distributors are you have checked out but most safes you see in stores are 11 gauge steel or less.
Check out the builders. Two very good ones are made in Fresno.
Sturdy Safe https://www.sturdysafe.com you just missed a group buy.

Your weight limit will limit the quality of the vault you can get. However, you are wise to limit the weight for a load on the second floor since you can easily exceed the safe load for residential second floors.

IMO, in your position, go with a combination of insurance and a safe. The safe can meet all CA requirements and insurance can cover fire and theft loss. The downside with the insurance approach is that it will take time to replace your guns when you go to rebuy them, plus you might not be able to get some again.

Its a budget safe, but decent for the money, the StackOn vault with a dial that weighs in around 300#.

If you were downstairs on a slab, the Liberty line is pretty hard to beat.

Last, most folks can only get about half the guns in the safe compared to the manufacturer's rating. So a safe advertised at 20 guns really only holds about 10.
