Help with Doskosport 12303 combo reset!

Any one out there have a Doskosport/Plano 12303 gun safe manual that will help me reprogram the entry code to my one pistol case. Today when I changed the batteries, it reset the combo and I can not figure out how to reprogram it? It has a four push button pad on top, and takes 6 digits to unlatch. Inside it has a switch that turns off the motion alarm and a push button which I think is used to set the new combo.

Post of pm me if you can help me out! Thanks!

If that family of boxes doesn't have a master code you may have a problem.

But, if the lock box is not bolted to anything, try dropping it on each of its sides. Depending on which side the solenoid is mounted on, it may be enough to unlatch the box. I would try dropping it on the two side walls first since most likely that the solenoid is horizontal and opens to one of the sides.

Thanks Satex! The box was open because the 9 AA battery pack that I reloaded is on the inside of the box. Just got off the phone with Plano and they faxed me instructions. Will post the fix if it works!

Ahh, I was under the impression you were locked out. In that case, no need to drop it

Easy fix. Props to Plano/Doskosport for great customer service. There is a master code for the unit. You use that to unlock it after there is no power to the safe. You push the right red learn button for 3 seconds, it beeps, you enter your code, then pust it again for 3 seconds and its set. Done. Its allways easy when you know how!

            Dosko gun safe

I have a dosko gun safe that is locked closed and the batteries are dying. I entered in the master code but now nothing happens I was wondering if anyone knows is their anything else I can try? I also e-mailed the company to get the manual but right now the beeping is driving my family CRAZY.

            Thank you.

Use a known "good" or "working" 9-volt battery on the terminals that are located on the keypad. They are labeled + and -, just orientate the 9-volt battery correctly and you should be able to get you master code to work. At which point you simply pull back the foam on the inside of the left wall of the safe and there you'll find the battery pack. Replace the batteries in that pack and voila, the insanity inducing beeps will be gone. (By the way, if your code does not work you'll have to contact Dosko/Plano....I don't think it'd be proper if I were to post the default code here). Call them at 1-888-70SPORT.
