I purchased the Costco 10.8 heritage safe. After about 4 months it has becoming hard to lock the VoLTE with the handle. It opens smoothly but I really have to turn it hard to lock it. Is this just a simple lubricating the bolts fix or what else could I do?

I had a different brand safe that became difficult to lock also.

Turns out the battery was low. Replaced battery, no more problems.

If there is a cover over the inside of the door, take it off and see why it's binding.

Wipe the bolts with synthetic oil like Mobil 1. That may help.

Yes I did. I just exercised the bolts and shook them a bit. Then for good measure added some all purpose oil.
