how do you guys carry your ar's and pistols to the range? I have a 36" range bag now but I'm moving into a condo and i don't want me people seeing me rolling around with a 36" tan bag and another small bag for hand gun. That is an easy way to get my place broken into. What do you guys recommend? Getting a small range bag and take apart the Ar's so the bag looks like a small messenger bag?

Whatever you decide to use, I would make sure you have a small combo (Wally World) lock for it. For legal purposes, not always but in some situations that lock will be important.

Range Bag
Put your padded rifle bag inside a large duffel bag with a jacket as filler. Get a non black version.
Plus if you are pulled over, it does not scream rifle bag. What's in the bag? Camping equipment, clothes, etc ...

While not as discreet as the other options, it is designed for the gun. You have different size options so that you don't have to break it down. I have two. One for my AR Pistol (smallest) which I don't have to break down. The other is a larger size which fits my 14.5 + 1.5 Battle Comp just perfectly or my 20 inch AR broken down into the two halves (which there is a separator for). They also come with compartments for magazine and tools (BB tools ie) and another one for a handgun including a holster. The zipper's come built-in with a place to lock them (small luggage locks) to meeting the locked requirement. Most of all....very comfortable when slung.

I bought one of these for the pistols. Hard sides and locks, lots of padding, and will hold more then four handguns most of the time. Looks like a briefcase...
