It's a MLE or "emily" or Magazine Lee Enfield or "long lee". The rear target sight is not standard, but a commercial upgrade of the day for target shooting. I have shot it using 1980's South African surplus and it was more accurate than any of my other Enfields. This was a surprise because the bore is pretty bad and the rear target sight was missing one screw.__________________

I'm pretty sure the aftermarket sights being set that far back on the receiver drastically improved the sight radius compared to the barrel mounted issue sights.
