Hello all,
I have this freeland (I think) 1? sight tube with Unertl mounts and I think a partial mount for a front sight piece?
Tube and mounts in great shape. About 8.5? long tube plus the eyepiece with adjustable aperture.
The two small dovetails are to mount the rear tube I believe. There?s a sling swivel and then there?s the other piece. I think the other piece is what would be used to put up a front tube with apertures. But unsure
Mounted a modern optic to the rifle. But this thing looks neat. Wondering how fun it would be to get a new front post and try my skills with it.
If anyone knows if I?m right - let me know. And where might I source a front sight to match this vintage piece.
This all came with an Anschutz 54 I got from a friend. His grandfather was a competitive shooter in the Midwest somewhere way back.
