Hello everybody,
I have an extreme desire to buy any Mosin Nagant with an antique receiver. I would like to have a rifle that I can gift to future children that won't be threatened by future legislation. Ideally looking to spend $300-500 depending on condition but I can be persuaded to spend more based on collectability or special interest. Please feel free to message me if you have one to sell or have any leads on one or more.

Not quite. It has to have been manufactured before Jan. 01, 1899.

Basically if its pre-1898 its considered antique. Ive been looking for one as well keep getting outbid on GunBroker!!! But they do popup, there was one on armslist in Fresno but think he wanted like 500+

To Clarify: I am in search of Mosin Nagants (and other antique rifles/shotguns) that have a receiver that was manufactured before January first 1899 and therefore does not require an FFL to perform a transfer.

As to the notacop comment I am not a cop, yet. The application process takes forever. =)

Who told you that antique guns are safe from the "future legislation" you are referring to?

I can only hope. Being that they are currently items that the ATF doesn't regulate I can only hope that they aren't able to get their grubby hands on them. I am aware that they are regulated in some places such as New Jersey though. In any case, I'm also interested in lever actions in certain calibers if anyone wants to sell one.

And just on the lucky off chance that someone has an ANTIQUE Colt SAA revolver that is within the serial number range that it can shoot smokeless powder I would be -extremely- interested.

I'm just looking for a nice heirloom gun or two really.
