The German were allied with the Hungarians for a time during WW2, and pressed their factories into service for more weapons. This is a Hungarian rifle that was know as the M30 in their army. The Germans gave it the designation of Gew 98-40. This rifle is much rarer than a k98. It isn't all matching but has many matching parts. The bore is good, but dark. I have had this rifle for over 20 years, and it is marked k98 by Century. They seem to have marked all German type rifles k98! A very rare rifle, not refinished, and with all markings intact. $800.00 Sorry no trades. I am in So.Cal and can do the transfer if near. If not will need C and R, COE, or a gun shop FFL to transfer. Thanks for looking.[IMG]
