    The pistol should be parkerized---it looks to be reblued. That being said it
    looks like an early GHD inspected pistol. If you remove the firing pin
    retainer and the number matches the frame,it's original except the
    finish. This would help the value,-----if not matching, with non original
    finish,not worth much. The pistol has severe pitting under the reblue.

      I'm sorry I had to edit my post. GHD stands for Guy H. Drewry an Army
      Inspector of Colt pistols going to Springfield Armory. Refinishing really
      hurts value of collectible pistols. I can only place an arbitrary value,
      so don't go by me but I put about $700. You may find a body who
      may pay more but the pistol is just a shooter grade. Pete

        PS. Pictures taken in bad light that are slightly out of focus do almost nothing to aid in determining value.
