    C&R list Verification

If I am reading the ATF list right, the M59 & M59/66 Yugo SKS and Albanian SKS are classified as C&R? Also I am wondering if California classifies them as a C&R? I would like to get some clarification since I have a C&R with COE and I am thinking of purchasing one. I see a lot chatter on different forums that they are not. Is this FUD or is this true? Any help would be appreciated. Here is a link to the publication. http://www.atf.gov/publications/fire...-may-2005.html

Yes, they are considered C&R because they are on ATF's C&R list.

California does not have it's own definition of C&R. Everything the Feds say is C&R is also C&R in California.

It would be interesting to read some of the chatter you've seen about them not being C&R. What forums did you see that on?

Maybe he is confusing not being C&R with the restriction on the grenade launcher attachment?

I have seen it on here in multiple for-sale threads, (some one would not sell one to me) and also on Gunboards. Thank you for some clarification though. It is still difficult, even with the link, to get sellers to understand and FFLs to understand.

watt79negative on grenade launcher attachment that's only on the 59/66 series and they could be removed/replaced with the California condom. (just no company does it anymore) All the drive by grenadeings.

Up until last year, they were C&R Federally, but not eligible for face to face transfers because they were under 50 years old. That may be what you are seeing referenced. The 50 year thing went away with the 1st of last year, so now there is no special requirements about them, with the exception of the grenade launcher, if one is present.
