Bound book question

I finally got my license last month and I broke it in yesterday. I bought some guns from a guy out of state. Two were C&R, and one wasn't, so I had them ship to my regular FFL.
I think I log those two as received from the FFL, and not from the guy I bought them from. Is that correct?

My understanding is that if you do the transfer with an FFL in a LGS that you don't need to log it in your bound book. If you use your ffl to buy a c&r, say from your neighbor, then it must be logged. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

All C&R guns you buy or sell, regardless if bought from an 01 FFL or an individual must be logged in the book during the duration of your license

I PPT'd two C&R rifles when I had my C&R and waiting on my COE, still in the book.

Yes and No. You only log the acquisitions and disposals of the C&R you buy or sell while you're licensed. Not your existing collection before you became licensed.

However, if you sell a C&R that you've had prior to being licensed, then only yes will it need to be logged in and out.

You should've received a large packet around the same time your license came in. It has these questions addressed.

Yes, that's correct. Your local dealer logs them into his bound book as coming from the guy out of state, then he logs them out to you. You log them into your bound book as coming from your local dealer.

Off topic, but I also keep an Excel spreadsheet of all firearms in my possession and what I bought/ sold them for (however, I don't have taxes/ DROS fees added). Just helps me stay organized and I don't have to dive into the safe to check a year or caliber

I also have spreadsheets for ammo count (rounds I've put through each rifle), and for my bayo collection

Every 03 FFL should read the Code of Federal Regulations that cover firearms. Knowing these regulations is part of the responsibility you take on when you become a 03 FFL.
