Not sure I've ever seen a K31 with a bad bore. Even the turd I bought for $180 had a beautiful bore.

I hate all of you. My wallet hates you. My girl has a disapproving look on her face. My bank loves you because they're going to pick up the interest from not making my payments

Good thing I had OT yesterday and the next 2 Fri's will be OT...
March 29- April 5, 2019- The Million Mag March. Thank you, Judge Benitez and all the vendors

Here's a shot of an older import I got with the markings on the underside of the barrel where they used to place it. 1941 with all matching #s. I would have had the matching # bayonet but the owner before me said he misplaced it. Got for $150.00.

I wish I would have kept mine. I had a matching bayo, too. Sigh. I really want another and am kinda chomping to get this but man, I hate paying transfer fees and tax on an old gun.

Which Swiss rifle should I order from Aimsurplus other than K31, already ordered K31?

How about K1911 Schmidt Rubin with 30 inch barrel?

            thanks

The K11 is the carbine. I think you are referring to the 1911 rifle. The K11 and K31 are similar, with the better sights going to the K31. As an alternative, I'd get the 1911 long rifle or even the 1896/11.

Can anyone here with actual experience comment on whether the 1911 or 1896/11 are safely rated for regular GP11 consumption? I have read elsewhere that some Swissie shooters download for the older guns as a safety precaution.

Bobby, with all of the very successful GSA 1911sr conversions to .308 in the 60's and 70's there's no doubt that those receivers easily handle the cartridge they were designed for, the GP11.
Nobody I know downloads for those rifles.

Thanks Latigo. My pristine 1911 long rifle is overdue for some range time and all I have is GP1911.

Did any one order 1911 Long rifle from Aimsurplus recently? and if so, What's the condition of these rifles?

                      thanks

Hi, since 1911 long rifle has been sold out which one do you guys recommend,
k11 carbine or 1896/11 long rifle?

                        I have already ordered a K31.

                        Please advice.

Ok, I've settled on getting another Swiss. I've already got a beech and walnut k31 and a g1911.

Should I get a 96/11 or a k11? They both seem to be lesser versions of what I already have but at least the 96/11 will be older

The walnut K31 I got from AIM a while back is great, but the stock is somewhat finish worn and it has an ugly billboard Import Mark. It is however a great shooter and functions smooth as butter. When I bought it the muzzle cover and leather sling were included with the rifle. This grouping was from 100 yards in a windy desert environment using a wobbly card table as a bench rest.

I got ahold of a couple guys up at AIM Surplus today to find out where the import marks are located.

                              Here is a brief summary:

K31: Small and on the side of the rear sight base.
1911: Small and on the side of the rear sight base.

K11: Larger and on the receiver.
96/11: Also somewhat larger and on the receiver.
