Put in an order on the 26th and another on the 29th of December both for Service Grade Garands. Had some issues with my Dec 26th order getting lost in the mail but in the end both rifles were shipped out on the same day. I asked for a WWII vintage rifle and one that I could pass down to my son one day. I received two Springfield Armory Garands, one is 1944 vintage (serial 2973XXX) and the other 1954 vintage (serial 5318XXX).
The 1944 one does not appear to have the original stock as there aren't any cartouches and the metal finish shows wear, ME=1, TE=2. The 1954 one has the DAS and proof-P cartouches and the metal finish is much better quality, ME = 1+, TE = 2.
I was so excited that I took some quick pictures this evening with a flash but I'll take some better pictures this weekend.
