C&R boundbook?

What do you use for your bound book? I was just using a sheet of paper and putting it in a notebook since I don't have many C&R's. I took it out and set it on the table, when some water spilled onto it and ruined it.

Also, do you keep your serial numbers in them or do you have those somewhere separate? just curious

I have a binder of DROS copies, A&D table, serial number master list and my original FFL03 and COE. Kept separate from the guns

You should have received a packet explaining the requirements and responsibilities that go along with being a 03 FFL holder.

Loose sheet is not bound. I got a cheap bound book from Amazon. It shows exactly the information you are supposed to keep. Don't mess around with DOJ rules. I think I paid $10

It doesn't need to be "bound" From the ATF FAQ:

I use a 3 ring binder, and print out the pages from Excel when there is a change. The entries are in the front, the supporting docs (receipts, ffls for the seller, etc) for each entry are in the back, with a tab for each.

That being said, ATF Rul. 2013-5 says you can now use keep your records electronically:

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) authorizes an alternate method or procedure to the firearms acquisition and disposition recordkeeping requirements contained in Title 27, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 478.121, 478.122(a), 478.123(a), 478.125(e), 478.125(f), and 27 CFR 479.131. Specifically, ATF authorizes licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, and licensed collectors to maintain their firearms acquisition and disposition records electronically instead of in paper format provided the conditions set forth in this ruling are met. This ruling supersedes ATF Rul. 2008-2, Records Required for Firearms Licensees.

There is a list of specific things you need to do, but none of them are all that difficult.

I stand corrected. Who knew bound book meant loose leaf papers...
