    Self registration confirmation *update*

Have any of you guys had instances where you guys didn't get a confirmation? I sent one at the end of September and one at the end of October. I've gotten confirmation back from the one in October.

The annoying part is I sent the first one with a MO since I couldn't find my checkbook so I'm not even sure if it ever got there. I still have the MO slip but USPS charges to check.

I've tried calling the DOJ but I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone.

    Should I even sweat it?

UPDATE: I ended up sending an email from their website since calling the numbers on the confirmation letter wasn't going through.

I ended up getting a call back from (916) 227-7527. Just a heads up if you need to contact them

That is why I use a personal check and make copies of everything. It generally takes a couple of months before I get my letter. I keep an eye on when the check gets cashed.
I sent one in mid November and the check was cashed last week.

I just got one in the mail....I submitted at the end of summer. They are really quick to take your $$ as usual, but slow to do anything else.

Mine too and I always submit a check with the serial numbers written on the memo line. I figure if I don't get the confirmation, then at least I will have a copy of the cashed check as proof.

I sent two in October. Check has been deposited for one of them. Still waiting on letters. This is the longest it has ever taken me to get a response.

Sent one in early September, check cashed within 2 weeks, no letter. Previously it took 2 months to get a letter.

The fact that all this can't be done electronically is absurd in 2015!!!

Anything to help gun buyers in this state will never happen. That would be way to easy and convenient. Would be nice though.

I've had one come back in about a month and another one took about 8 months with the rest ranging in between those time tables. They usually cash the check about 2 weeks after it's been mailed.

It was 6 weeks for me and a few months later I did the request for info thing to see my full list and the self reg was not on it, I have yet to check again. Makes you wonder if this records system is run on some antiquated computers, I imagine a dude sitting in some back room with a Commodore 64. Seems pointless to say the least.

Awww, come on man...don't leave us hanging. What'd they say? Was it a live person? Or just some robocall telling you that you've been entered into the APPS database for questioning their integrity?
